Number 10 Arrowtown...

Only a 20 minute drive from Queenstown is stunning Arrowtown.  Arrowtown has seen a great many changes over the past years from a sleepy little farming town, to a thriving holiday spot, but it has managed to keep its special atmosphere and small town ambience alive and well.

Emma Pullar is a 4th generation Arrowtown local “and there aren’t many of us left here!!”  and passionate about Arrowtown as a wonderful place to holiday and an even better place to live!

The Pullar family welcome you to enjoy all Arrowtown has to offer at “Number 10” an original holiday ‘crib’.

The swirly 70s carpet has gone, but the holiday memories remain!

Seasonal highlights

Number 10 is the ideal holiday home in any season!

The wonderful private outdoor area means you can enjoy the long hot summer days & nights over a tasty BBQ. The very large fenced section has even hosted some post-wedding day BBQs with up to 100 people enjoying the private outdoor area.

Number 10 is also very cozy in wintertime – returning after a hard day on the slopes you can relax in the living room in front of the roaring log burner whilst sipping a local Pinot Noir.

Autumn in Arrowtown is just spectacular – the hills are ablaze with the fiery reds, oranges & yellows of the trees that Arrowtown is so famous for.

And springtime is many people’s favourite when the daffodils appear and the hard frosts disappear…

Exploring

Number 10 is the perfect base from which to explore all this stunning region has to offer – whether your interest is taking in all the adrenaline activities, wineries, shopping, eating out, or just simply relaxing in the hammock with a good book – Number 10 is perfect for all your requirements.

Our favourite Arrowtown activities involve breakfast at Joe’s Café (a locals favourite), followed by a walk up the Arrow River, lunch or dinner in one of the many fantastic cafes and restaurants in Arrowtown, a stop off at Patagonia Chocolates for some delicious homemade choccies, a movie at Dorothy Brown’s boutique cinema, all finished off with a nice local red at The Blue Door Bar.

Out & About
The Arrow River has some great spots for exploring. If you’re feeling adventurous head up to Macetown – the former gold mining town – up the Arrow River for a great day out. The Lakes District Museum has plenty of information and maps of walking tracks in the local area.

Our Favorites… Eating Out!

  • Great coffee at Joe’s Garage or Café Mondo
  • Fresh bread and crepes from the French Cafe
  • World Famous Pies from the Arrowtown Bakery
  • Fantastic fresh treats or delicious lunch goodies from the Postmasters Deli – they also do takeaway picnic hampers
  • Patagonia chocolates for the yummiest chocolates – try their Chili Chocolate!
  • Mantra for great Indian and even better service
  • The best pizzas from Pesto – great for dine in or takeaway
  • Fine dining at Saffron – the best cuisine time and time again
  • There are also Turkish, Thai and traditional Kiwi Fish & Chip takeaways all in Arrowtown.
  • You can get a great milkshake from The Shed – on the main street.
  • Further afield venture to The Winehouse & Kitchen beside the Bungy Bridge for chef Chris’s amazing fare – not to be missed.

Don’t miss a visit to?

Dorothy Browns Boutique Cinema – pre order a local wine & cheese platter to have available at half time.

Or the Lakes District Museum – the only museum in the district and a fascinating insight into the gold mining history of Arrowtown – great for kids too.

Holiday activities for children?

Oh so many…the museum, river walks, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown swimming pool, skiing. Jet boating, family rafting trips, Kingston Flyer (vintage steam train), Skyline Gondola & luging, The Earnslaw, horse riding, 4WD tours, ice skating, Queenstown underwater world…the list goes on around here!
