Recently stayed here with my two teens, was such a beautiful relaxing place. Beautiful gardens and scenery overlooking into Apia. The hospitality shown towards us was super, from the first email to the last communication was never a problem. Our hosts in Apia were just the friendliest and remained in contact with us during the entire stay. I was also fortunate to rent a car which they also provide and again communication and delivery of service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend anyone who wants a more personal level of customer service to use Nicks place on the Hill. Thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely use this place again.Awesome work Paul, Emil & Teuila xxx Ange Westerlund :) :)

I was very reluctant to stay at Nick's Place on the Hill, only because I travel to Samoa often throughout the year and have built great relationships with the people where I usually would stay, but my friend who always stays at Nick's said to give it a go and I'm glad that I did, plus it was for work so we had to stick together.
If you're a family then the upstairs apartment would be more suitable as it has 2 bedrooms and nice balcony to sit, relax and enjoy the view from the hill.....where we would spend our evenings relaxing after a hard day at work....don't forget to wave and say 'Talofa' to the local villagers, they're all very friendly, and if you're into volleyball then get one of the guys to take to have a game in the evening with all the other local village boys.
Both apartments are fully furnished, the bottom apartment didn't have an oven, but did have a fridge, microwave, toaster, and jug, which is all that we needed as we were out and about, plus who wants to cook? Go out and enjoy some of the amazing restaurants that Apia has to offer. The top apartment did have a one element gas cooker.....my friend didn't even use it.....like I said, you're on holiday, go out and eat!
As you know Samoa is hot, the top apartment has air con, the bottom only has a fan, but you also wont get to use this much as there is a nice breeze that comes into your apartments....why waste energy when you can use natural resources.
Nick's place on the Hill is only about 5 mins drive to Apia town, there is a taxi stand on the bottom of the hill, only about 1 min walk from where you're staying, just a tip, get one of the cab drivers mobile number and call him whenever you need a taxi, as sometimes you could be waiting for a while for a cab at night or during special events.
My Booking with Paul was so easy and hassle free. He allowed me to pay off my accommodation in payments before I left for my trip, which I was really grateful and appreciative for. Paul's Uncle and Aunt also live on the property further down the back, it was nice that uncle would come by in the evenings to see if we were ok and have a bit of a chat and laugh.....he made us feel like family while we were there.
I've stayed in many hotels and apartments all over Apia, but in the 3 weeks that I stayed at Nick's Place on the Hill it gave me a feeling like I was actually living in Samoa....Nick's Place on the Hill is my new home away from home.
Fa'afetai lava Paul and the whole Ah Koui aiga for making us feel welcome.....it's people like you who always make coming back home extra special!

I got to visit this place while in Samoa for a conference recently while my friends were staying there and what an awesome place it is. Nestled up on the hills of Palisi, it is a perfect location close enough to the hustle and bustle of town but far enough out of town to enjoy the peace and quiet. The balcony view upstairs boasts a beautiful view of Apia especially in the mornings and is nice and cool in the evenings. Definitely felt very safe up there. Would love to visit again soon. Highly recommended!!!

Nick's House on the Hill in Palisi is a stunningly fluorescent green two storey palace, a true vision of live, nestled in the hills of Palisi with some of the most amazing views of Apia. The views at sunset/sunrise are particularly wonderful. The rooms are spacious, and the house is fully equipped with everything you need (towels, linen, cleaning products, plates, kitchen appliances e.t.c.). The house itself is a treat. The lovely tiled floors, the bright green colour, the amazing balcony at the top unit, the wonderful garden in front of the bottom unit makes it truly one of Samoa's hidden gems. Its close proximity to the Apia CBD is convenient, making it easier to navigate back and forth via taxi/rental car, easy for friends and family to find. Its position on the hills of Palisi also grants you privacy to relax and enjoy your stay.
One of the things that set's Palisi apart from other places of accommodation, is the level of service and care taken by those who own the property and those who also supervise the property as well. They go beyond the call of duty and service to ensure that patrons feel like they are at home, and are part of the family. Right from the booking to the initial meet and check in, it is a wonderfully smooth and easy process. I would gladly recommend Nick's House to anyone and everyone looking for somewhere to stay whilst in Paradise, and would like to thank Nick and the Ah Kuoi family for everything they do, and have done to make our stay that much more enjoyable. 10 stars from me.

Nick's place a great and comfortable place to stay, My partner and I enjoyed every day we stayed two weeks of comfort of air con and hotwater when needed with a tv that we took our harddrive to watch all those movies I never had time to watch back home, we had the time for everything being so close to apia town ship. thank you Nick I take my hat off to you for the excellent service with a affortable place and car that you provided for us on our much needed trip. We recomend this affortable place to anyone looking for comfort and price . We certainly will recomend it to family or friends. The view everyday from top balcony was awesome to walk out to every morning and every night a bonus to our trip too.

Nick's place on the Hill, now lets start from the beginning. Nick was a very good, lovely and helpful host. When he picked us up from the airport it was a lovely drive to his place, listening to Elvis :) this made my friend and I very comfortable.
The house itself was beautiful, far better in person then the photos. The view from the top balcony was perfect especially at night. Very close to Apia not even a 5min drive. We spent most of our 5day holiday at home on the balcony where it was very breezy. If you ever needed a nice place to relax in Samoa here is where you should stay.
We also rented one of Nick's cars that was awesome and cheaper then other rental places. Best thing is that you don't need to pick it up or drop it off anywhere because the cars are already at Nick's place. I highly recommend renting anything that Nick has to offer. Myself, friends and family will definitly rent Nick's place on our next trips to Samoa.

Nick's Place on the Hill has been our second 'home' in Samoa. Its located in a lovely spot, not far from town and easy to direct to taxi driver's if your faasamoa is not 100%. Nick Ah Kuoi's(owner) hospitality is warm, friendly and helpful. My partner and I rented the bottom unit out for a couple of weeks in Aug/Sept and then my 2nd trip to the islands we rented it for a few days as it is so convenient when wanting to stay in town and affordable as to some places in town. The unit was clean and had all the essentials we needed - it was very comfortable and just right for us. We also hired a car out which Nick was very flexible for us during our stay. The area (Palisi) is very remote and quiet and the neighbours were friendly and welcoming as well. At the bottom of the street from Nick's Place is a taxi stand so it was very helpful if the taxi number was unknown. I would recommend Nick's Place to anyone who is looking to stay in Apia, for an affordable experience as well as a memorable one. Nick's Place will always be on my list of places to book every trip I make to the islands. Nick was a lovely host and we appreciate all the help and assistance he gave my partner and I to make our stay at Nick's Place on the Hill a memorable one.
All the best and God Bless Nick, faafetai lava.

"Hey Corrections mate" Nick just want to let you know how much my family and myself enjoyed staying at your holiday house. My kids can't stop talking about the house and how much we loved coming back every day to the house, after spending the day out. The house was everything we dreamed it would be Nick; it was everything we wanted from it and more. The privacy upstairs was spot on, the patio was filled with awesome views, the bedrooms we stayed in were bang on for my family, the shower and bathroom facilities were "A" class and last but not lease we really appreciated your hospitality and the warm laughs we had with you at your own house.
Great value for our money, great accommodation while holidaying in "The Lovely Island of Samoa" Nick mate my kid's memories - my wife's and myself memories will forever be held close our heart knowing that we were well looked after while staying in Samoa at your place.
My Family and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for close to town and a comfortable, clean and affordable holiday home. Thanks Nick, you made our stay amazing and we hope to see you again very soon. I would definitely stay here again and have already started recommending to friends and family.

Hey Nick, it's been awesome staying at your place - good value for money, close to the city, has everything we need. For our short stay that we had there, there was no doubt we had to come back and stay for our last night in samoa at your place. Am looking forward to staying over again at yours for sure. Thanks for an enjoyable stay at your holiday home. Nei & Soara

Hi Nick, never did get round to giving my feedback from the trip, sorry such a short memory! Wow, what can I say first visitor from the UK to stay there, thanks for your kind hospitality and one of the best fish meals think I've ever had! The apartment is perfect, air conditioning and a great balcony with superb views over Apia. Easy to get into town and close walk to the sports bar, Nick is a superb host we went out several times for beers! Secondly, any radio HAMS here great take off to NA and Europe from this apartment, only 1km to the sea so SP to NA, EU, AS, AF all great, LP a bit more challenging as some hils behind. In terms of setting antennas up that is no problem, Nick and his friends helped me several times to put antennas up including several repairs to them, nothing was too much trouble. Far better than staying in a hotel, can always visit the hotels for a drink if that's what you want. Hope to see you again sometime Nick.
Best wishes, Matt

What a fabulous place to stay, great outside area to eat meals in the shade and breeze with a view over Apia and Nicks tropical garden. We have never experienced before such warmth showered onto us from Nick and his partner, the homliness staying with them was amazing. This was our second visit to Samoa, the first staying only on Savaii, but this accommodation and hosts far surpassed any other place we stayed at. We intend to tell anyone we know who is heading to Samoa that NICKS place is THE place to stay.

Stayed at Nicks place with my two cousins (Tala and Iosia) and we had the best time here.. Not only were Nick and his wife extremely friendly and nice to us but the place was exactly as described. Very clean, not even five minutes from the city and very spacious for the three of us. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the beautiful views and the music coming from the sports bar down the road. Nick and his wife were lovely hosts always making sure we were ok and everything was all good in the house and always making sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. The best thing about our holiday in Samoa was staying at Nicks, so convenient especially when we were out at night, the place was amazing and the deck was just beautiful. Stunning views, great people and an amazing house made our stay at Nicks a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for convenience and a comfortable, clean and affordable holiday home. Thank you so much to our hosts, you made our stay amazing and we hope to see you both again very soon. I would definitely stay here again and have already started recommending to friends and family. Thanks again and God bless.

Nick's Place on the hill was a very comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay while visiting Samoa. We also hired one of his cars which was great as Nick was able to offer a good price compared to other provider. This place would be suitable for people looking for a good secure property with good showers and a helpful owner. You should be aware that if you are a light sleeper then Thursday and Friday nights you might need some ear plugs as the local bars music can be heard until about 11pm but then I guess you could just go down to the join in the fun anyway! Nick was really helpful which is was great because we had a large group and could fit our 4 adults and 2 children easily into the flats and we were able to book an extra emergency night with nick due to departing flight delays. We would book this place again for our next visit to Samoa

Mr Nick and his Partner are very friendly and helpful hosts. If you want affordable, clean, central accommodation with great cars on site that are affordable and very economical to run. Then Nick's place on the hill is for you. Mr Nick also provided extra bedding so one of us could sleep in the lounge at night. Fantastic view and invited sea breeze from the deck. We drove one of Nick's car all over Upolu and took the car on the ferry to Savai'i. Savai'i is a must. You should Snorkel in front of Le Lagoto Beach Resort in Savai'i, they feed the fish so they stay there. Also go on boat day trip to the reef from Aggies Grey's lagoon resort. This offers one of the best snorkeling as will as Palolo Deep Marine Reserve is not to bad either. P.S Try Luau Palusami, its to die for. Coconut cream wraps up in young Taro leafs which are then wrapped in banana leafs and cooked on a Urm. You can buy traditional Samoa food on Sunday morning at Netties. Nick and partner know where. Infact you will find Nick and partner friendly and delightful people whom will make your stay in Samoa even more memorable.
Thanks again for everything and it was lovely to meet you both! Leigh from NZ

Accomodation is clean and tidy and has all the basics that you need. It is within walking distance to Apia the main centre and also it is easy to get a taxi if you don't want to walk. Nick also has a car for rent and this is very competitive with the main rental agencies (actually cheaper). Nick also makes himself available to help out with anything that you may need help with. He also gave me a traditional island meal free of charge. I got him to give me a lift to the airport later at night and he picked me up from the local resort to do this. His transport to the airport is a little above what the local taxi's charge but he goes the extra mile. All in all a great place to stay if you are staying with someone.

I am a frequent visitor to Samoa but have always stayed with family, so decided to do the tourist buzz and found Nick's Place to be the perfect homebase for my awesome holiday. My friend and I stayed at the top unit. It was just perfect for us and I loved the massive shower! When we were home we spent most of our time on the balcony, the views were amazing, and loved watching the sunsets and sunrises!! We also made use of the car that was available, excellent price and cheap to run, was really convenient to be able to drive wherever we wanted at any time, we even made it to Aleipata which was great to go visit family! Nick and Lika were wonderful hosts and were always available to help us with anything we needed. I would recommend Nick's Place to everyone and always tell people to check it out if they talk of going over to Samoa for a holiday. Thank you Nick and Lika for making my trip the best return back to Paradise to date :)

I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, Nick was always on site if ever we needed him...Love Nick's place, our holiday wouldn't have been so awesome if it wasnt for it!!! It is a very lovely place to stay. Me and my friend stayed on the upstairs unit. The view was lovely. The price was great for the self contained unit with air con and hot water, this is the best accomodation we had stayed while we were in Samoa, we rented a car and drove around the whole island in upolo, had lunch and dinner out at some beautiful resorts and restaurants, back to nick's at night, that was cheap and fun. Highly recommended to my friends. Thanks nick.

Came back to Nicks cos we love the place. 2nd time staying Nick, we stayed there May 2010 as well. Always a great time. Love the massive shower, favourite place in the house!! Having the newly added second bedroom was awesome and having its own toilet had its perks. Loved sitting on the balcony whether its having breakfast, drinks at night, or just to relax and absorb the scenery. Thank you Nick no doubt we will be back again =)
