“We had fairly wild weather but that didn’t matter at all, we read, relaxed, played cards and a walk round the beach in the wind was exhilarating, not to mention the surreal experience of seeing the baby seals further north. I particularly enjoyed the trip back to the 1960s with meals around the formica table in the middle of the kitchen with the cupboards with those old latches, and cooking in what is actually a very good oven! “
