What To Ask the Owner
It's always a good idea to ask the owner of holiday lettings accommodation about the conditions of your stay and the facilities provided. If you're driving to a secluded or remote location, you probably won't be too keen to go back for something you've forgotten.
Here are few things you might want to ask about holiday lettings in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific:
- How and when do I pick up and drop off the keys to the house?
- What are the in and out times for your holiday lettings?
- How do we contact you if we're delayed en route to the house?
- What is provided in the kitchen in terms of cooking equipment, crockery, utensils etc?
- What linen and towels are provided?
- Is there a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer or dishwasher?
- Can we smoke inside the property?
- Do you have information on things to do locally in the house?
- Do you have any wet weather entertainment such as books, dvds or games in the house?
- Do you have television and / or Sky TV?
- How and when do I pay you?
- Does the cost of your holiday lettings including everything (such as electricity, gas, water, basic phone line rental, phone calls, house insurance) or do I need to pay for anything else?
