Sleeps six, two bedrooms, plus comfortable queen size folding bed settee in the lounge.
Modern bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet, and full sized kitchen contains everything you could wish for, including dishwasher and automatic air conditioning/heating.
Antique dining table and chairs seats six, and the two new three seater settees (one with two built in recliners) face the courtyard and the 32inch HD LCD TV plus DVD/CD player with a huge range of Sky TV channels.
The flower filled shady and private courtyard has a barbecue and teak table (four chairs) under the trees.
Historic and pretty Parnell has many excellent shops and restaurants close by, and Auckland's biggest park and museum are a few minutes walk away.
The hop on/hop off tour bus which covers the whole city stops close by, as does Auckland's "Link" bus which circles the central city from the stop right outside, you don't need a car- it's only a few minutes ride to the harbour waterfront or to Newmarket, the premier shopping district.

Guestbook
“Our family of 4 adults and 1 baby stayed at the Parnell townhouse for 4 nights from 3rd February 2010. The townhouse is in a great location being within close walking distance to Newmarket and Parnell, two great shopping areas, with a good bus service located just a moment or two from the door if you wish to go further. The Auckland Museum is a 5 minute walk away. The townhouse is a comfortable home with everything you need for a “home away from home” experience. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable couches. A lot of useful information about Auckland is provided, plus instructions regarding use of TV/Sky etc. The owners were easy to deal with and I appreciated their flexibility with arrival and departure times. We would happily stay in the townhouse again.

We had a Holiday in New Zealand, January & February 2010 during which time we stayed at Richard & Christine Amery’s house in Parnell, Auckland.
Auckland was one of the highlights of a super holiday itinerary and the great thing about Richard and Christine’s home is its location – just a few minutes away from downtown, walkable if you are feeling energetic, but with a cheap regular efficient bus service if you aren’t – bus stop 100 metres down the road. Parnell itself is a pleasant leafy upper/middle class suburb with excellent shops and a good choice of restaurants, Kiwi and Ethnic, within 5-10 minute’s walk.
The Parnell house is fine for 4 people with a compact kitchen, a very comfortable sitting room and two bedrooms: double and twin. The housekeeping is good; the home well furnished, nicely decorated and equipped.
Christine and Richard were excellent hosts, meeting us, giving us lunch and telling us about the area before leaving us to get on with our holiday. This was supported by well-structured visitors’ house book giving lots of useful facts about what to do and where to go / eat etc.
We would like to stay there again.
