Dow Cottage - an ideal place to relax away from city life, or a first destination in New Zealand to escape the jet lag. An easy 50 min. drive from Auckland City or Airport. We are on the Pacific Coast Highway to Coromandel Peninsula or, for those starting the great NZ holiday, take Highway 27 to Rotorua. Boutique accommodation. The beautifully restored 1892 cottage offers the peace of the countryside on our 800 acre farm and forest. Two bedrooms, sleeps 4. Self contained with modern conveniences & TV/video but features antique furniture and good heating for cosy winter weekends. Wonderful ambience, a perfect setting for your holiday or honeymoon. Enjoy farm and coastal walks. The farm has a winding stream for gentle walking and trails through bush and pines in the hills. Otherwise relax on the sunny verandahs with wide rural views. Clevedon Valley offers good restaurants, wineries and oysters. Drive the Kaiaua Coast to Miranda Hot Springs, the Shore Bird Centre and Hauraki Golf Course. Coromandel Peninsula is an easy day trip. Fish, swim or sail in our sparkling Hauraki Gulf.
