The site is private and peaceful and allows for full enjoyment of all that Lake Tarawera has to offer including safe swimming, lake-side walking tracks, kayaking, fly fishing, boating, mountain biking or just relaxing. Situated near the start of the Tarawera settlement, itis only 20 minutes drive from Rotorua and a short drive to the local cafe and the buried village at Te Wairoa.

“Arranged our stay with very short notice and found the owners very accommodating. A magical spot with great views out over the Lake and Mt Tarawera. Nice to be able to walk down to the lake edge. Would be lovely in summer. Very clean and tidy lockwood home that didn’t creak while we were there. Lovely gas fire that heated up quickly. Would thoroughly recommend this home”
