All accommodation at Wairata Station is fully self-contained, however we can supply a continental breakfast and dinner at your request.

We also have an outdoor Genuine Wood-fired Pizza Oven and barbeque. This can be fired up to allow you to experience an authentic and unique dining experience. Fresh hot sizzling pizzas and breads combined with fresh meat, hot off the barbie is an experience not to be missed!

Description

Our recently refurbished farm cottage is situated on a large flat section adjacent to the Waioeka River. It has a quiet peaceful outlook and is fully self-contained.

Your hosts Bob and Mary Redpath will make every endeavour to ensure your time spent on our farm is a memorable & enjoyable experience. Wairata Station is a vast peaceful mountainous wilderness within reach of New Zealand's main centre, Auckland. Wairata Station is a large hill country farm ranging from lush river flats up to towering open peaks. The station runs over 400 head of Angus cattle and 1500 Perendale sheep.

Also available are two modern Chalets, perfect for a quiet getaway weekend or a serene retreat for a few days fishing, tramping or hunting. Each Chalet sleeps 2.

For a real escape, The Cabin is surrounded by beautiful New Zealand bush, home to many different types of native flora and fauna. Only 100m to the river you are in prime location to easily access the Waioeka River. Fishing, swimming or even just a quiet walk along the river, the choice is entirely yours. The Cabin has no power but very eco-friendly with battery powered lighting and gas water heating
