Nestled on the shores of Lake Taupo this charming home designed by architect Terry Hitchcock guarantees a fabulous holiday. Linen-coloured plaster walls and whitewashed lawsoniana timber throughout the interior lend the home a Scandinavian feel. All the stone was quarried locally and helps give the house a casual charm while bi-fold doors and windows open directly onto the garden which flows down to the Lake. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces keep the home cosy in winter and a rear courtyard space means outdoor dining is possible even on a windy day. New comfy beds and crisp household linens will have you sleeping like a baby. Voted one of the most beautiful homes in the village. BYO sky decoder.

“Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your house at Hatepe. Hatepe is an amazing place which was made even more amazing by your wonderful home. It helps that the weather was perfect, however we all agreed that it wouldn’t have mattered if it were raining every day as you could enjoy yourself just hanging out in the house for days on end…
We were a bit worried there wasn’t enough gas in the bottle for a bbq, so we filled it up. We also drank the half bottle of Vodka in the freezer but replaced it with a full one.
Thank you for letting us stay in your home. We would love to visit again one day.
