At Leighton Lodge we welcome you to share the peaceful environment of this Coromandel Peninsula paradise. You can choose either the self contained ground floor suite, accommodating up to four persons or a B & B experience in our Pacific Room with it's magnificent sea views.
Our home is just two minutes walk from the stunning white sands of Opito Bay beach where you can enjoy a scenic walk to the historic Maori Pa site or a beach ramble [our dog will lead the way]. Opito Bay offers excellent diving, safe swimming and boating. The great fishing among the Mercury Islands is generally reliable. Boat launching is from the beach.
Relax under a century old Pohutukawa tree with a good book, or with luck, swim with the dolphins which occassionally visit.
Delicious home cooked meals are available by arrangement - sometimes sharing the local seafood catch.
To complete a relaxing weekend at Leighton Lodge you have the choice of nearby golf courses, kayaking, or bush walking. Within an hours drive from Opito Bay there is Coromandel town, Hot Water Beach, Hahei and Cooks beaches, plus all the excitement of bustling Whitianga.
