Description
This is a very private Lockwood home within two or three minutes walk to two safe golden sandy beaches. It has spectacular views of the main beach, offshore islands and up the coast to Moehau mountain, as well as panoramic views inland over rolling farmland, hills and forest areas. Our garden has pohutukawas, flaxes, flowering gums, many proteas and other shrubs and flowers. It is an ideal escape for up to four adults wanting to have total peace and tranquillity, or for a family with young school-age children wanting a wonderful safe beach holiday. There is plenty to do within easy access: sailing, kayaking, fishing, walking, horse-riding, biking etc, as well as simply enjoying the beaches which are very gently sloping and safe for swimming. Coromandel town has restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, fuel stations, etc. Massive kauri trees can be visited nearby, Driving Creek Railway offers delightful train rides, Waiau Waterworks is an amazing place to enchant children or anyone with imagination and a sense of fun, and the Information Centre in Coromandel has a wealth of information about heaps more things to do and see in the area.
