4 min easy stroll to a breathtakingly beautiful surf beach and lagoon area safe for kids to swim and play.
7 day general store, tennis courts, childrens playground, surf casting, swimming, snorkeling, loads of fun stuff to do.
An active surf club patrols the beach in the summer and holiday times.
15 min drive to Whangamata which has a great golf course, boat ramp, cafes and restaurants, shopping, diving and big game fishing tours, medical clinic, cinema, video shop and a new large chain supermarket for extra supplies.
The area also offers traming and walking tracks, horse terkking, kayaking, old and new mining sites and a variety of other adventure tours.
