$85 per night for up to 4 people - $10/extra persons over 5 years;
Description
Located within Onepoto Village - 4 minutes walk to Lake Waikaremoana - the jewel of the Urewera National Park. This is a noteable area for fishing, hunting and tramping. Onepoto is an entry point to the Great Walk and is close to a boat ramp and swimming beach.
Lou's Bach was the home of one of NZ's most decorated, respected and colourful policeman - the decor is steeped with memorabilia of his time. Is a comfortable old style NZ bach with modern amenities. A log fire-place provides easy heating all year while a conservatory catches all day sun and affords great views over the eastern Urewera ranges. Colourful garden plantings surrounded by native bush attracts tuis, bellbirds and pigeons all year round.
This is a remote location and as such water is by tank - usually plentiful but we do request consideration with its use particularly in the event of a dry summer period.

Guestbook
“We had a wonderful, quiet time in this warm and homely place. Everything was clean and tidy and we would have loved to stay longer. The beds, which are always a critical point when you suffer frequent back pain, where very good and we all slept well. The neighborhood is very quiet and there is an amazing supply of firewood and an excellent woodfire. Another bonus is the proximity of boat ramps and walking tracks in various lengths. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely place, we will be back again.”
