Large, spacious and relaxed holiday home set in the secluded sand-dune environment of 90-Mile Beach near the historic landmark, the Hukatere Hill (Maori translation of Hukatere - drifting sea-foam). Fall off the end of the world in to unrestrained and rugged views of New Zealand's most spectacular and untamed northern-most west coast beach, the scenery often accommpanied by natural light-shows including beautiful sunsets and clear moonlit nights. The Hukatere Beach House features four large double bedrooms, all featuring beautiful antique brass beds, all rooms in the house feature unobstructed views of the coast surf, a large living area and a fully equipped kitchen. Activities can be arranged for the adventurous through to the curious, including tours to Cape Reinga and the spectacular Cape Reinga track - renowned as one of New Zealand's finest walking tracks with hikes from two to four days available and with drop offs and pick ups easily arranged. Other pursuits also include 4x4 tours; surfing, fishing, and kayaking, sandboarding, the huge sand dunes of Te Paki stream, the easily accessible and beautiful nearby east coast beaches, beach walks, and plentiful fishing and shellfood gathering. Nearby Houhora Village (five minutes away) offers all modern conveniences including fishing and boating charters, a golf course, supermarket, tavern, cafe and internet facilties.
