The Lookout is the ideal spot for honeymooners wanting privacy along with peace and quiet yet still the stunning views of the Poor Knights and access to the beautiful Matapouri beach. With large decks at both the eastern and western ends the sun rises and sets are magical to watch.

Matapouri is located on the Tutukaka Coastal Highway approximately 25 minutes from Whangarei and 2 hours 45 mins from Auckland.

Renowned for the it’s horse-shoe bay and white sandy beach Matapouri is a destination for not only those hot summer days but also those stormy winter nights when a warm fire and glass of wine can help provide the perfect environment for relaxing.
