Description

Situated in Matapouri Village, this home set in half an acre of subtropical gardens is the ideal haven for a summer break (very short walk to safe sandy estuary and beach) or a midwinter getaway. To make the break from your daily routine complete, there is no telephone or television. Instead you can choose to entertain, amuse or educate yourself with one of the hundreds of books that fill the house, maybe play an indoor game or cricket on the lawn, or even
rediscover the art of conversation. And if gardening relaxes you please feel free! The upstairs lounge and balcony have views to the bay and sea beyond.
In winter the open fire (wood provided) warms the house. Free kiwifruit, mandarins, guavas and feijoas in season.
Pillows and continental quilts are provided. Guests will need to bring their own sheets (top & bottom), pillow cases, towels, bath mat, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and tea towels.
Minimum stay for long weekends 3 nights, or for Easter 4 nights.
