Description

McLeod Bay is a beautiful beach on the Whangarei Harbour in Northland. The private, cosy, quiet cottage is situated behind our house which is across a no-exit road to the beach. it is northfacing with unrestricted views of Mt Manaia and Mt Aubrey. The beach is safe for swimming with a fun diving pontoon and all other water related activities. Fish in the harbour by boat or off the Stuart Rd jetty. Drag the herring net for a feed or for bait.(We have the net.) There is a childrens playground along the beach. Two surf beaches approx 15 minutes drive and the Pines Golf course. Lovely bush walks and spectacular views of harbour and ocean from Mt Manaia or Mt Aubrey. A general store, the Manaia Country club, cafe and takeaways within a few minutes drive (or walk). 30 minutes drive along the beautiful harbour into Whangarei City.
