Description

A two bedroom cottage situated on an elevated site overlooking the harbour, its entrance and the golden sand dunes. A spacious deck is a stunning spot to relax, entertain & enjoys the sunsets.
A fully equipped cottage, which sleeps six. (For large groups enquire about the identical adjoining cottage). A four hour drive from Auckland up State Highway One and onto State Highway 12 at the bottom of the Brinderwyns, through Dargaville and the Waipoua Forest. A stop at the Matakohe Museum is a must.
Situated in close proximity to the beach for swimming and fishing. Great harbour for boating and two boat ramps handy (Unfortunately no boat parking). Parking for two vehicles maximum. An area rich in history and natural beauty. Take in the local walks (Directory available in the cottage) or the Waipoua Forest ( twenty minutes drive). A trip across the harbour to board down the dunes is a fun day out.
The area offers Cafes in the historical settlements of Waimamaku (10 minutes drive), Rawene (20 minutes drive) and at Omapere with stunning harbour views.
