Are you are looking for a relaxing getaway retreat for a few days. Hidden in a secluded valley, up a windy metal road, only 15 minutes drive from one of New Zealand’s beautiful east coast beaches and surrounded in 15 beautiful acres of picturesque native bush, is a private, cosy, sun filled retreat, with alternative power - gas shower, cooker, 12 volt lighting and radio/CD player, NO TV, there is cell phone coverage in some parts of the cabin, a real get-away! The natural beauty can be viewed from the sunny deck throughout the day. The beautiful gardens and surrounding native bush contain many native birds, including kiwi. You get to relax under the stars in the honeymoon haven. Being right next door to the forestry with amazing views of Whangarei Heads, Ruakaka, Nunguru, Poor Knight Island’s etc, makes for many activities on our doorstep including mountain biking, bird watching, tramping or bush walking. We are also only 15 minutes from fishing, swimming, surfing and kayaking at Pataua North.
