Description
Opunake Lake Lodge is situated on the lakes edge, so that you can enjoy lakeside walks, trout fishing, kayaks, boats or jet skies. 2 mins to beach, 3 mins to Opunake's artificial Surf Reef, 2 mins to shops and cafes. Central to Surf Highway 45 and renowned surf breaks. Close to New Plymouth for the city attractions and Mt Taranaki for the snowboarding skiing and tramping. Suitable for couples, families, reunions, sport teams, church groups, from 2 to 32 people. There are 8 bedrooms with a mixture of Queen, double, single beds, and bunks. Includes indoor fun facility (Squash court) suitable for many indoor sports like babminton, volley ball, basketball, tennis, table tennis. This is a great area for indoor fun in all types of weather. Fully equipped two kitchens, large sunny lounge/dining with deck overlooking the peaceful lake. Also mezzanine lounge and large foyer. The spaces are great as there is plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Mens and ladies toilets, showers and changing rooms. Plus separate toilet/shower. Theatre hall on left side, bush reserve rightside, lake at the back. Opunake town is a nice, friendly peaceful place, with lots to see and do.

Ladies changing room has two showers, basins and toilets. There is a central bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. The men's changing room has one toilet, and urinal. Plus three showers. These were in the orignal squash club and have been upgraded to suit the new use as a hoilday home.

Comments:
decent size lockable bedrooms, with various beds from single to Queen beds. Four up with carpet and four down with polished floorboards. One huge bedroom we call the "Honeymoon suite" which catch's all day sun. Having so many bedrooms means there's privacy even in a large group.
