Historic 1920 farm cottage in peaceful secluded setting 20km east of Stratford set back from State Highway 43 (Forgotten World Highway).

Surrounded by trees, shrubs, lawn and birdlife. Large lounge with free-standing log fire (wood supplied), wide collection of books, historic photos and memorabilia, extensive Taranaki tourist information. Fully carpeted and furnished throughout. 1 km to free public tennis courts, maps for farm walks, ideal roads for cyclists, strolling.

Handy to Strathmore Golf Course (green fees $2.) 15 minutes drive to Stratford; 40 minutes to New Plymouth, Egmont and Whanganui National Parks; 30 minutes to historic Whangamomona Village. Ideal for families, tramping groups etc. Feed the pet lambs in spring, gather fruit from the orchard. Gas barbecue provided. Freeview TV (16 channels).

Douglas is the actual geographical centre of Taranaki, and a great base for exploring our diverse region; the majestic mountain, urban walkways and back-country or mountain tracks, world-renowned parks and gardens (New Plymouth's Pukekura Park and Tupare, Pukeiti's Rhododendrons, Hollard's Gardens); inland bush reserves and coastal beaches; art galleries and museums (New Plymouth's Puke Ariki and Govett Brewster, South Taranaki's Tawhiti Museum and Stratford's Pioneer Village and Glockenspiel.)
