Description
Ferry Watch is situated in one of the most sort out area's in Weliigtoton.Days Bay is where the Eastbourne Ferry lands, you can stop off on Somes Island famous for keeping prisoners in the second world war. The beach is a save for children and has a wharf that people swim to, jump dive and swim out to the local raft. There is an annual swim from Days Bay wharf to Easbourne in February. Famous NZ writer Katherine Mansfield's family had a summer house here. It takes 20 minutes drive to Wellington Rail station or 20 minutes by ferry.
We have panoramic views of harbour and South Island. Ferry watch is surrounded by native bush, there are scenic walks at your doorstep,a large landscaped lawn area, with waterfall, summerhouse, large deck with spa. Native Pigeons, Tui's and the sound of Moreporks calling in the night is surreal. You may even get a visit from deer. You may as we do Kayak to Ward or Somes Islands. Days Bay has cafe's/restaurants, pizza. Eastbourne Town is 3 minute's drive. Ferry watch is a holiday with in a holiday.
