Character old style bach at Takamatua, only 5 minutes drive from Akaroa. It is small but comfortable and has great views over the bay and over bush clad garden. There is space to park two cars on ground level then outside stairs go up to the kitchen/living area. Also upstairs is the bathroom with shower and toilet and two small bedrooms (a double bed in one and bunks in the other) and a large deck. The living is all upstairs so is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Downstairs is the main bedroom (king size bed) and separate toilet and a utility area. There are two bunks in the utility area but this would only be for overflow. There is a small dinghy on a hand trolley and a children's kayak for guests to use. The section has a large number of native trees and shrubs with small paths and (usually) plenty of birdlife.
