Description
There’s a wonderful lost-in-the-country feel in this cosy cottage. Feel yourself unwind as you snuggle beside the fire or dine at the table overlooking the orchard and stream. Your little holiday home is cheerfully decorated, perfect for honeymooners, young children and well-behaved dogs. The master bedroom has a charming lead light window of a sailing ship and a very comfortable bed. The smaller room is a fresh duck-egg blue with doors opening onto the garden where the bell birds will sing to you. Follow the path over the stream to the outdoor bath and relax in overflowing hot water. If you feel like a walk then up the hill is our vineyard and over the fence, join the walk around the stunning valley.

“One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Comfortable and welcoming, has a lovely “feel” to it. Beautiful stream running past, stunning stained glass window. Beautiful dawn chorus. Wonderful stay and that was even with one of the days being wet and miserable. So romantic that got engaged that weekend. Hopefully will be back in the not too distant future!”

“My husband and I spent two nights at Kokopu Cottage with our two young boys. It was beautiful, rustic and romantic (would have been more romantic without the boys). The grounds were gorgeous and having breakfast at the picnic table whilst the birds sang and the stream tickled was amazing. We found the bath topped it off. It was nice to spend time in Akaroa and yet be able to whip back to the retreat and the bush in under 5 mins. If you are in need of ‘Time out” this is ths spot. “

“This was a wonderful place to stay, the photos do not do it justice! We had a much needed break from the City with our dog and the hosts were wonderful (turning up with kindling and had heaters ready when we arrived)
A magnificent property with nature as the only sound and a special break away, we look forward to returning soon
There is nothing that could improve this home”
