The only Honda Goldwing & Sidecar tour in New Zealand is based near Akaroa. It's fully licensed. Pick up from accommodation is usually available, please enquire.
The youngest rider so far was 5 & the oldest 98.
The sidecar takes 1-2 people depending on size & one pillion on the bike. Helmets, hair protectors & some gloves, jackets & scarves are available.
Tours range from 30 minute overviews of Akaroa heading up the steep & winding Lighthouse Rd, down to the church at Onuku Marae back to the Brittomart Monument followed by a spin around the town to full day bespoke expeditions to Canterbury & beyond.
The 1 hr Long Bay Rd, Summit Rd Okains Bay Rd, Robinsons Bay, Takamatua, Akaroa loop is especially popula. 2 hrs is the same trip plus the Hilltop Cafe with views from the Southern Alps & Kaikoura rages across the Pacific Ocean & beyond & back via Barrys Bay Cheese.
