Description

Te Wharau-temporary shelter-resting place. A home like no other. From first sight Te Wharau is impressive, Very, very different, sunny and welcoming. Constructed from a mix of concrete block and zincalum cladding, it makes a strong statement in terms of unique architectural styling and texture. The street frontage features stone gabions whilst the secure grounds incorporate a number of native cabbage trees and a towering Elm. Open the large wooden front door and you'll enter a huge space which is flooded with natural light through the use of tall sliding glass windows opening onto a sheltered courtyard and a seven metre high ceiling complete with suspended steel racked lighting and audio system.

This two level dwelling sleeps up to 7 people, with two bedrooms located upstairs and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom downstairs. And everywhere you look you'll find little touches which reinforce Te Wharau's commitment to comfort and culture-kete baskets complete with chocolates on the pillows, fresh flowers, paua shell guest book and Maori sculptures in the garden. It is fully furnished to the highest possible standard, with gourmet kitchen and hideaway laundry. Everything you can possibly want is right here.
