Situated on the edge of Methven Kea Cottage is a relaxing, family friendly haven looking out westwards to the mountains. It's a quiet setting, fully fenced and private. From Kea it's an easy 1km walk to all facilities of Methven. Methven has several top class restaurants, boutique cinema, spa pools (at the hotel), gym with Les Mills classes, sports massage therapists and 2 iconic pubs. The golf course is nearby. Close to Mount Hutt skifield. A shuttle service to mountain, airport or Christchurch will pick up and drop off at the door. Freeview TV & boardgames for rainy days. Good mobile broadband reception for Vodafone and Telecom. (bring your own mobile broadband device) Other local activities include horse riding, jet boating, Rakaia river fishing, tramping at Mt Somers, mountain biking on the new Mt Hutt trails, hot air ballooning, windsurfing at Lake Clearwater, water skiing at Lake Camp, hunting. Kea has been our much loved family bach/holiday home since 1992.
