Description

The accommodation is situated on a 1 acre block with an abundance of native flora and fauna. Access to the property is by road or sea or air (floatplane http://www.nz-scenic-flights.co.nz). The Royal Mail bus visits twice a week and groceries may be ordered by phone or online and delivered.
The cottage has an open plan kitchen/lounge, log fire, wood provided.
An extensive deck area (70 m2) provides the best view of Cissy Bay and Hallam Cove. Outdoor dining, BBQ facilities and washing up area are provided on the deck. The studio and deck are wheelchair friendly.
The studio with ensuite bathroom is situated in an adjacent building. It contains a small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle.
Mooring for a vessel up to 18 metres is also available.
There are sea kayaks for hire. For those interested in scalloping there is Kev’s Super dredge(TM) available for rent with tips from Kev about scalloping at Ketu Bay, 10 nautical miles away.
There are numerous bushwalks in the area e.g. 20 minute walk to Kettle Point, Cissy Bay Reserve with original Sounds native bush and a Bridle track on Garne and Savill Reserve.
