Description

Cissy Bay, Marlborough Sounds, has good road access 2 hours from Nelson, Blenheim, or Picton. You can launch your boat here for the Pelorus Sounds or tow 15 minutes drive to Rocky Creek, Admiralty Bay for the Outer Sounds. French Pass is 30 minutes drive away. The bay is suited to all water activities and bushwalking. There are native birds including wekas and penguins and seals in the Outer Sounds with boat tours operating from French Pass. Garne and Savill Bay Reserve is 10 minutes drive away and has good bushwalking.
The Cottage and Studio are the perfect base to explore the surrounding area or to relax and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Sounds. With 5 minutes walk to swimming beachs and 10 minutes walk to fishing beaches. It is situated on 1 acre, with regenerating native bush. A neighbouring house is also available for rent. A boat mooring is available.
Services in the area include the Picton/Porirua Float Plane to Cissy Bay, Royal Mail bus from Rai Valley twice a week and groceries may be ordered. Scallop dredge (Kev’s Super Dredge) may be hired. Kayaks may be hired in Cissy Bay or French Pass.
