Description
Wakatu (wait a while) Cottage - spacious tranquil - watch the walkers and boatees go by from the front verandah, entertain on the sunny deck outback. This is a great place to recharge the batteries
Stroll down the reserve path adjacent to the harbour to see where the penguins are nesting or check out the fishing boats and whale/dolphin watching oprations, potter round the rock pools or go for a swim.
Launch your boat ahead of all the others first thing in the morning - no inside parking but plenty of room on the grass verge. Clean your catch in the outside sink/fish cleaning area.
Step out to the Penninsula walks. Safe for children - Put the young children inside the house or set up the older children in the sleepout, still safe but fun to be independent.

“Awesome place, in fantastic location!
My family and I had a wonderful time, would definitely recommend it and go back again!”
Julie Hewitt 25/11/2011
“We had fairly wild weather but that didn’t matter at all, we read, relaxed, played cards and a walk round the beach in the wind was exhilarating, not to mention the surreal experience of seeing the baby seals further north.
I particularly enjoyed the trip back to the 1960s with meals around the formica table in the middle of the kitchen with the cupboards with those old latches, and cooking in what is actually a very good oven!
