Description
Visit Environment Award winning Conservation park Tui Nature Reserve, a remote hide away in a breathtaking world! Enjoy a different lifestyle, on an isolated peninsula, where nature takes over and time is not important. When you arrive at the wharf in Waitata Bay, we will take you on an exciting ride with a Kawasaki Mule. You will be met by friendly hosts and Weka's, the curious New Zealand native non flying bird. Your hide away home is cosy, fully equipped with a woodburner for the colder months. The home is situated on a 160ha semi-island wilderness in the Sounds, located 180 metres above sealevel, and boasts exceptional panoramic views of the Pelorus from every window and the sunroom. A boat charter through the amazing bays, coves and waterways of the Pelorus is possible. Explore the lovely walking tracks that will end up on beautiful private beaches. Some of the tracks follow the ridge, 260 metre above sealevel with 360 degrees awesome views! Take the kayaks (beginners) out for a relaxing time on the water and to enjoy the secluded beaches for a picnic. You can also go for a guided conservation tour or night walk. Catering available.

Reviews
“Fantastic place, highly recommended. Peace, privacy, hundreds of wekas! Lovely bush and fantastic fishing – right off the wharf. Comfy beds and everything you need except electricity during the day. Take a portable dvd player if you have kids with you – tho the basketball hoop was a lifesaver. Thanks so much Ellen and Brian – you guys made us feel very welcome and what you are doing is inspirational.”
