Description
Cockle Cove is one of the most beautiful and protected anchorages in the Marlborough Sounds, set in 25 acres of virgin bush. Situated by the beach this classic kiwi bach has everything you need for an extended stay. Get out on the water in the two canoes or go fishing (dinghy and lines provided) or just relax on the deck soaking up the superb views. Only a few minutes walk from the cottage are some of New Zealand's forest giants. Tracks lead around the bays, or a ramble up the creek to the waterfalls makes for an enjoyable afternoon. Birdlife is right outside with wekas coming onto the deck. Access is available by water taxi - 20 kms from Picton.

“Many thanks to you and your family for allowing my wife and I to spend a peaceful and relaxing week at Cockle Cove.”
Bob Reid 20/05/2008
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and learning about the history of Cockle Cove and the family’s association with the Sounds.
The tranquility and solitude of Cockle Cove was just what we were after and we came away sad to leave but refreshed. We hope we have the opportunity next year to return.”
