Description
Amazing mountain, and river valley views in a tranquil farmlet setting.
4 bedroom, insulated home, sleeps up to 17. Gas cooking, refrigeration, and lighting, with solar, and log-fire, water heating. No electricity, but there's a generator available - (bring your own petrol).
Plenty of beds for family gatherings and wide open space for the kids, or a lovely quiet spot to get away for two.
Activities include seasonal trout fishing, Deer & Possum hunting, walks, mountain biking, and scenic drives. Swim and kayak with care.
30 mins North of Maruia Thermal Resort, and 10 mins from Historic "Reids Store" Cafe.
Check out the outdoor "Bush Spa". It's very cool sitting in the Dual claw foot baths, heated with outdoor log fire, gazing up at the stunning display of a country sky.
The property is 130ha of farm land, with a mixture of clear pasture and rough native country. So there's plenty of space near the house for tents, outdoor activities, and pets.
It's not luxury accommodation, in fact the bells and whistles are produced by the native 'dawn chorus'. But it is perfect, and magical, a real taste of Kiwi paradise you won't forget.

Guestbook
“Gillespie Family. What an amazing spot! this was our second time to the bach and gets better every time. The rain did not stop our activities and all felt like we had had a weeks holiday. Caught trout in the first hour (ritual to put first one back in the water), plenty of trout alas not biting. Read heaps in the visitors book about deer and pigs, are you able to share your secret on where they are?
Very kid (preschool) friendly, to the top of the hill was like climbing a mountain – they had lots of adventures.
Thanks again and we will be in touch to book again.”
“This is such a beautiful place. We all had an amazing time. Great fly fishing rivers with plenty of trout, surrounded by alpine forests makes this the perfect getaway for friends and family. We will defiantly go back very soon :) “
