The Old Bank, a spacious self-contained apartment, is ideal for families or groups as it will comfortably sleep up to ten people. It is owned and run by Mary and Phil Rickard; well travelled themselves, Mary and Phil love to meet and greet the people who stay with them.
The comfortable accommodation at The Old Bank is very popular with visiting anglers who can choose to cook for themselves or eat at nearby cafes.
There is plenty of off-street parking at The Old Bank and there are three restaurants within just 200 metres.
Murchison is about two hours south of Nelson on the main circuit route which many tourists follow around South Island. From Murchison guests can travel easily to the West Coast or, in an easterly direction, Christchurch, Nelson and the Marlborough region are all within a three-hour drive. Murchison also has its own small airport.
