We loved staying at the Last Straw Cottage, it took us back to our childhood living in England. Our children loved the house, really enjoyed the rural location and close proximity to Nelson. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back in the future! Thanks for making us feel so welcome, it was the best place we stayed during our 7 day holiday in the Abel Tasman / Nelson area.

The Last Straw Cottage is an absolutely beautiful, quaint home that reminds me of a gingerbread house. The home has gorgeous features like a claw tub and beautiful wooden staircase. It is light and cheery and the outdoor setting of mountains and trees is wonderful. The owners, Lynne & Jon were an absolute delight. They made sure every detail was taken care of and we arrived to freshly baked bread and candies. Overall we would rate this stay a "10" out of "10". You couldn't ask for a more pleasant setting nor a friendlier and accomodating host.

We stayed at the cottage for 7 weeks (my spouse, myself, mother-in-law and our 18 month old twin boys). The cottage was absolutely darling - beautifully decorated and very comfortable for all of us. The hosts, Lynne & Jon were unbelievably friendly, helpful and accomodating. As you can imagine, given we have twin infants and we were travelling from the United States, there was a lot of preparation that needed to happen before we arrived - like having cribs, strollers, baby food etc etc. Lynne took care of everything for us with ease, she made us feel so spoiled and taken care of. Upon arrival she was there to greet us with a happy smile and we stepped into the kitchen where there was homemade bread, boysenberry candies, delicious muffins and other goodies to kick off our stay. We have stayed in hundreds of B&B's around the world, and the "Last Straw Cottage" is now #1 in our list. It's a definite must and stay longer than you plan to.
