Description
Come and enjoy "Starfish", our delightful, sunny, holiday house; right on the beach. A lovely safe swimming beach, excellent for children, sand castles and romantic strolling. Watch the sun and moon rise right out of the sea through the bedroom's french doors, or from the daybed on the verandah. Relax here, and soak up the sea!
Golden Bay's mild climate make Starfish ideal in the winter, plenty of dry firewood for woodstove, warm and cosy with lots of sun. A lovely romantic get away - for first and second honeymoons !!
There's also lots of exploring and activities nearby. Pakawau is located near the base of Farewell Spit and so it is easy to explore the spit, its fossil cliffs and diverse bird life, (4wd safaris can pick you up at the Pakawau Shop), the seacaves of the wild West Coast beach of Wharariki, and the calm waters of Westhaven Inlet. Other nearby activities include: horse riding, caving, climbing, fishing, sea kayaking, and tramping; and there's lots of great local artists and funky cafes to visit. Only 3 minutes walk to Campground Shop, tennis courts, kayak hire and Schoolhouse Cafe for a soy chai latte or cappuccino..
