“Gardner’s Wood was perfect for our family of 2adults, kids 5 & 4 yrs and both sets of grandparents. Plenty of living space to hang out together or hide away for some peace and quiet. Grandparents loved watching the birdlife, whole family enjoyed playing cricket on the lawn and the kids enjoyed collecting pine cones for pocket money! House is well thought out, very well equipped and maintained and owners went out of their way to help in a slight medical emergency. (thank you! Jeff!) We found this to be a perfect base for all our holiday activities, would highly recommend.”

“We had a great stay at Gardner’s wood. Very child friendly (we were 2 families with 4 kids total ranging from 1 to 4 years). Everything was there including spices and cooking stuff and the kids were never inside as there was so much space outdoors. Really good area to explore Nelson from – close enough to get into town if it’s raining but otherwise feels remote from anywhere.”
