“Little Greenie was a wonderful experience for us. We came because we had heard so much about this Eco-House and felt we had to experience it ourselves. We were not disappointed. The setting is breathtaking, right at the northern end of Abel Tasman National Park. As we stayed in the middle of winter, it was particularly nice to see that even though the temperatures were getting real low during the night (around 4 degrees C), we woke up the next morning with the house still maintaining a cosy 20 degrees C. Unbelievable, especially considering that no heater was used. The climate inside was extremely comfortable. Imagine sitting in a Kiwi house, in the middle of winter in shorts and T-shirt and a very comfortable temperature and without heater. There are probably not many other places in the country where you can do this.

“In February 2009, the two of us stayed at „Little Greenie“ in Golden Bay for 11 days. Our daughter who lives in NZ did the reservation for us. It was our first experience in an eco-home and it was truly memorable.
We were surprised and inspired by the high quality of the building as well as the loving and modern furnishing of the interior. Also, it was a pleasure to find the advertising regarding attractive views and scenery not simply met, but even exceeded in reality.
We found our stay to be good value for money and enjoyed our time there very much. We would only recommend the “Little Greenie” for any short or longer stay and we look forward to visiting again.
There may be lots of accommodation in Golden Bay, but “Little Greenie” is worth every cent!
