Waterside Holiday house is situated on the waterfront in the little village of Waikawa an old fishing settlement.
A warm modern home with a really peaceful and serene outlook of the ever changing waters of the Waikawa. Built in 2007 has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, large kitchen living and lounge area all looking out to the water with quality carpets, furnishings and linen. One hour from Invercargill and 2 and half from Dunedin
6 km to Curio bay by road or walk around the coast at low tide. Enjoy the king fishers and wading birds while listening to the bell birds and the tuis. Pristine bush walks at Waipohatu Forest a 10 min drive away , a 3 hour circuit track or a short 20 min track .
This is a great location so accessible to other attractions of the Catlins, eg Fossil forest at Curio bay, also penguins and dolphins. Sealions at Waipapa Point and Curio bay
Mclean Falls and Cathedral caves a 20 min drive , not to mention the Niagara falls a good joke falling all of a metre at low tide !
For good food and coffee Niagara Falls cafe is recommended
