Basic comfortable facilities: equipped kitchen, washing machine, shower, outside flush-loo. No TV. Kuri Bush is the birthplace of famous New Zealand poet James K Baxter. It is surrounded by numerous walks and points of interest. Well situated on the Southern Scenic Route, Kuri Bush is 35 mins south of Dunedin city centre; 5 mins drive to Taieri Mouth for fresh fish; 10 mins drive to the resort community of Brighton with its swim-between-the-flags surf lifesaving beach and the nearest store; 15 mins drive to Lake Waihola for recreation and great fish 'n' chips. Good mobile phone reception to make arrangements for entertainment in lively Dunedin.
