Description
Our modern 2 bedroom flat is attached to our house. It is fully self contained and private. It is fully equipped with range, fridge, TV, microwave oven, washing facilities and gas BBQ in the garden. We are situated about 40 metres from the sea,and the Kakanui Penguin Reserve, right on the Kakanui River Mouth facing north (great views). You can enjoy the peace and quiet of this country resort or try fishing, surfing, use our kayak or simply relax. Kakanui has a shop with bottle store, a restaurant, some nice coastal walks. Close by is the Penguin colonies and seals are always on view. A visit to Oamarus historic precinct is a must. A day trip will take in the Lake District and Mount Cook

“Joy and Roger, I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that staying there at your cottage in Kakanui was just such a fun and wonderful experience for my mom and for me and Weeks. It was such a tidy and comfortable place in just a beautiful remote spot there. We loved hunting around for penguins and finally finding some down beyond the lighthouse. We explored the moeraki boulders and loved the long quiet beaches too there along the east coast. Such a wonderful spot! And thanks for being such lovely hosts too!
Hope you are both well and have had a great summer down there. I’ve been back to the states these last couple months, but I’ll be back in Christchurch soon and looking forward to it!

“We would like to congratulate Joy Roger on being the very best Host/Hostess’s out… It was pure delight being able to stay in their lovely holiday unit for the four nights.. for start of you are made to feel very welcome.. their holiday unit is incredibly clean and comftable… the best nights sleep out we had.. and waking in the morning to the birdsong awesome. and the sea sounds lulled you to sleep every night… with Joy Roger nothing is too much bother… incredibly helpfull and friendly… we would highly recommend anybody to stay at Sea Veiw.. this was our 2nd visit in two yrs.. and we would so love to come back.. thanks heaps Joy Roger… wishing you both al the best always… Jen Alan “
