Description
Lake Ohau is a magnificent lake surrounded by majestic mountains. It is a wonderful playground for those who love to fly, ski, ice skate, walk, mountain bike, fish and hunt or just laze about and enjoy the view.
It is an hour's drive south to the famous Central Otago wine region and an hour's drive north to Mount Cook,but no matter where you decide to drive to you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mackenzie
Our House is Sheltered and private with a beautiful outlook The Kitchen is fully equiped with all cooking and baking necessities including a coffee machine,so if you do not wish to drive to cafes you can stay put and enjoy sitting on the deck with your coffee looking out at the mountains.
The Ski field is directly above us and can be seen from the bedrooms,so no need to uneccessarily jump out of bed to get the ski report. The drive to the lifts is approximately 20 min.

The master bedroom and guest bedroom have large sliding doors and shutters opening onto a deck with stunning views of the Barrier Range. There are two bunk rooms one with a queen bed and king single. The second bunk room has two king single beds. bedroom area is seperated from the living area so is quiet. It is also carpeted,so cosy in the winter and the shutters provide cooling in the summer.
