Description
Waikaia is a popular holiday village situated 54km north of Gore beside the willow lined Waikaia river, which is a tributary of the reknown Mataura River, one of New Zealands most popular fishing rivers. Waikaia also has a rich gold mining history and is within easy driving distance of great bush walks and tracks suitable for mountain biking. This new fully self contained cottage is only 8km from Waikaia on a sheep and beef hill property, with views up to tussock bush clad hills. It is well equipped with comfortable new furniture and complimentary tea and coffee. From the cottage you are within an easy walk to two good fishing streams plus the remains of the old King Solomon Gold mine. Come & enjoy.

“This is a great cottage for fishermen with a back porch for hanging waders and other gear. In 10 minutes you can be on the Waikaia River and a few more minutes will get you onto the Motaura above where it is joined by the Waikaia. The farm is beautiful and the cottage deck provides a great venue for adrink and a dose of scenery at the end of the day.”
