Relax in peaceful native bush surroundings in the South Catlins overlooking the tranquil Waikawa harbour. Waikava Harbour View lodge is centrally heated and offers four bedrooms to comfortably sleep eight people (max 10). Also available are 2 one bedroom units - Harakeke and Toi Tois. All accommodation is self-contained offering full kitchen facilities and modern amenities with outside decks and seating. Lodge has available Sky TV (9 channels) and units have available Freeview (several channels) including DVD and selection of DVD's. Satelite Internet available in lodge and units from 1 October 2010
Waikava Harbour View is 300m off the main traffic route to Curio Bay and is private and secluded. It has waterfront access to the Waikawa harbour and is 100m from a 15 minute native bush walking-track that winds its way around the Waikawa estuary. Centrally located just 6km to Curio Bay: Explore the fascinating Jurassic age petrified fossil forest, swim with Hector dolphins, see Hoiho (yellow-eyed penguins) and seals, or take a dip in the safe swimming and surfing beach. 300 metres to the Waikawa Museum & Information Centre, 3km to the Niagara Falls Cafe & Restaurant. Close to many other southern scenic attractions.
