Description
Tucked away off the main road, in glorious native bush,, this very comfortable holiday retreat is a cosy house with a log fire. It has views, is peaceful, has bird life and a fantastic night sky's. (the house is approx 85 sqmt on an almost 1600sq metre section, lots of space.
Activities... hunting, fishing, walking (the Heaphy Track is about 40mns drive away), exercising, swimming, painting or just relaxing. The local pub at Little Wanganui itself is about 10min drive, otherwise there is Karamea and the many walks there to check out. River/lagoon about 5min walk from the house, at low tide it's possible to walk across the river to the sea mouth, if you don't want to get your feet wet, drive around to it through Little Wanganui township.
There is a TV but the reception is not very good due to the mountains, take DVD's or a book, or a good wine... Buy most of your food etc at Westport, there is a store at Karamea, this is best used for small incidentals. Fill up your petrol at Westport also, it is is costly at Karamea but alright for top ups.
