Description
Small self contained cottage situated on a sheep and beef farm 5km from the Whataroa township, nestled in a peaceful rural setting surrounded by snowclad mountains and native bush.
Wake to a dawn chorus from the abundant native birds, wander through unspoilt native bush on the farm or join in with farm activities. The hardy Whataroa settlement offers trout and salmon fishing, a white heron sanctuary, gold panning, and a 9 hole golf course. We are close to the glaciers, relfective Lake Matheson, and isolated Okarito. Guided walks, flights, fishing, horse treks and kayaking are on offer or just enjoy the scenery and lakes.
