Description
Winner of PRIVATE RENTAL HOUSES Air New Zealand 2011/12 Cook Islands Tourism Awards
This high-ceilinged 100 year old Colonial timber bungalow was moved from the owners village to her family land on the beach. The home has been enlarged, fully restored, with 2 decks added. Absolute beachfront, sitting well off of the main road its next door neighbour is Rumours of Rarotonga, a 5 star boutique accommodation. Held in trust for Aloma Moore, at age 19 the youngest accommodation owner in the Cook Islands, this is the only Colonial era dwelling on Rarotonga available to visitors.
Tikioki Beach, at the southern end of Muri Beach and has the advantages of being on the ’right’ side of the island without being in the centre of the Muri Beach developed area. The best restaurants and other attractions are a comfortable walk down the beach, while privacy is assured. The wide lagoon in front of the bungalow is on the edge of a large marine reserve, with the best snorkeling on Rarotonga.
The bungalow has been faithfully restored while adding modern appliances and features. A stainless steel and ceramic tile kitchen with a bevelled glass view of the lagoon features.

Guestbook
“Very comfortable property in the ‘quiet’ area of Tikioki/Muri and right on the beach, but still within easy walking distance of several shops and restaurants. Thank you Ngaoa and Aloma for your warm welcome and for looking after us during our stay – much appreciated.”
“We’re a family of 4 and we reckon this was one of the best ‘baches’ we have ever stayed at. Why stay in a generic hotel when you can get the real deal. Descriptions on the net are spot-on and our hosts were superb-cheers Ngaoa-we’ll miss the beach place and we’ve taken home some fond memories.”
