The Vekula House gives you a taste of village life in Avatele, 12k south of the main town, Alofi. Overlooking the beach, reef and out to the ocean, it is a short walk to swim and snorkel. Niue is 3hrs+ by Air NZ from Auckland on a once weekly flight.
We focus on simple comfort and space Kiwi-bach style. Nothing flash, clean and comfortable. Come to Niue for a true holiday amid surroundings reminiscent of NZ 40 years ago amid genuine Polynesian warmth and friendliness.
Niue, beautiful, safe, quiet, clean and unsophisticated, no bustle, no rush, few shops, no crowds but with sealed roads, piped water, electricity, internet, all on an island that would fit inside Lake Taupo. An upthrust coral atoll, Niue rises out of the deep ocean with a narrow reef fringing the island. The terrain is easy. There is no public transport so plan to hire - cars, motorcycles and bikes are available. Enjoy discovering little coral coves, mountain biking, bush walks, fishing, golf, the reef, sea tracks. Deep sea fishing and amazing snorkelling/diving in some of the clearest waters anywhere, plus view whales from shore July-October. Best souvenirs, hand weaving, photos and memories.
